Conference location: the Tradewinds Hotel in Fremantle. (please mention that you will be attending the Experimental Psychology conference when booking so that you are given the special conference rate). This will require a phone call rather than using the online booking method.
This is a small convention centre with good quality accommodation. We have chosen this location because, in the tradition of the conference, we wished to keep costs to a reasonable level for student participants. The rooms will sleep either 2 (most rooms @ $170 per room per night) or 4 people (two bedroom @ $250 per room per night) in comfort and, if shared, represent quite cheap accommodation that can be self-catered if desired (there is a small supermarket within 3 minutes walk). Since space is limited we ask that you do share if at all possible.
The conference registration will include morning tea and lunch on all three days and afternoon teas on the first two. The hotel offers the option of other meals but all rooms are also suitable for self catering so we have left this option open for your individual choice. As noted above, there is a supermarket within very easy walking distance.
We have arranged some overflow accommodation at Pier 21 (also booked through the Tradewinds registration desk) if needed. This also is offered at a special conference rate and a courtesy bus is available to bring people across the river to the main convention site.
As an alternative, closer to the centre of Fremantle, you may wish to consider the Esplanade Hotel, however, we do not have a special rate at this hotel.
